  • The second volume of Giorgio de Chirico's Catalogo Generale with 478 works dating from 1910 to 1975
Full Description

This second volume of Giorgio de Chirico’s Catalogo Generale, published in 2015, comprises 478 artworks dating from 1910 to 1975 which have been authenticated and dated by the Authenication Committee of the Fondazione Giorgio e Isa de Chirico. It includes paintings, works on paper, miniatures painted on ivory, and jewelry, many of which are little-known or totally unknown, thus making a substantial contribution to scholarship about the artist’s oeuvre.

It features an introductory essay by Fabio Benzi, a foreword by Paolo Picozza, President of Fondazione Giorgio e Isa de Chirico, an essay by Giorgio de Chirico entitled The Painter’s Craft (1933), a brief biography of the artist, and a summary of the Foundation’s activity. These works were not included in the multi-volume catalogue raisonné published by Claudio Bruni Sakraischik between 1971 and 1987.

Text in English and Italian.
