The Treasury – Royal Copenhagen Collection
In the Treasury, you can go for a pleasant stroll through 240 years of ceramic history.
Here you can follow the development in the history of Danish design and industry. From unique pieces and the most outstanding gems to the more popular earthenware services and figurines in porcelain and stoneware. The unique collection ranged from grandmother’s blue-fluted to the Danish King Frederik 6.’s dessert service, created at the illustrious factories: The Royal Danish Porcelain Manufactory, Bing & Grøndahl and Aluminia.
The collection was donated to the museum by Royal Scandinavia A/S in 2010 and consists of 55,000 pieces of ceramic.
About 1000 pieces are on display in The Treasury.
