    Joëlle Dubois deeply moving monograph features new paintings and works on paper. Building on her previous series, Forget Me Not (2022), Dubois delves into themes of loss, grief, memory, and love, shaped by her personal journey following her mother’s battle with Alzheimer’s.

    Dubois’ evocative works explore the delicate interplay of vulnerability and strength, balancing sorrow with moments of humour and meditative calm. Using a subdued, monochromatic palette and minimalist compositions, she invites the viewer into a world where emotions take center stage.     About the Author

    Joëlle Dubois (b. 1990, Ghent, Belgium) is a contemporary painter known for her bold, colourful works that examine the intersection of digital culture and human vulnerability. Inspired by Japanese erotic block prints, Dubois explores themes of feminism, self-perception, and the pervasive influence of social media on women’s lives. Her playful yet poignant visual language captures the complexities of modern identity, blending hope and critique. Dubois’ work has been exhibited internationally, earning recognition for its raw, honest reflection of today’s social zeitgeist.
